Learners Express Anxieties That AI Is Undermining Their Study Skills, Study Finds

As per new study, learners are expressing worries that employing machine intelligence is negatively impacting their capacity to engage academically. Many complain it makes schoolwork “overly simple”, while a portion claim it restricts their innovative capacity and stops them from developing additional competencies.

An analysis looking at the use of AI in British learning centers found that merely 2% of learners aged 13 and 18 said they did not use artificial intelligence for their academic tasks, while four-fifths indicated they consistently utilized it.

But, most of students stated using artificial intelligence assisted them develop fresh abilities, for instance 18% who reported it assisted them grasp challenges, and 15% who said it aided them produce “innovative and improved” thoughts.

When requested to expand, one 15-year-old female student commented: “My comprehension of mathematics has improved, and AI assists me in tackling complex problems.”

Meanwhile, a young man aged 14 said: “I process information more rapidly than in the past.”
